Dear Purpose World Church Family and Friends,

I pray that everyone is doing well and I greet you with honor and in the powerful name of Jesus Christ! I am constantly praying for you. Just a few things to say in this letter; they are as follow:

  1. We were planning to have a home coming picnic at the church on Saturday July 31, 2021. This was going to be a great time of safe fellowship and fun prior to returning for in-face worship service on Sunday, August 1, 2021. Unfortunately, after prayer and counsel, the picnic is postponed until further notice. There is a highly contagious delta variant of the coronavirus and the cases as well as hospitalizations is ticking upward, particularly in pockets with low vaccination rates according to data. Since the picnic will attract our kids who have not been released for vaccination, we will postpone this event until it is safe. I miss my church family so much, however safety is a priority. Please continue to be prayerful.
  2. Regarding re-opening for in-face worship, it is still tentative planned for Sunday, August 1, 2021, however mask and all manner of social distancing will be mandatory. The church will be cleaned and sanitized for our safety. Things such as doorknobs, microphones, and chairs will sanitized prior to and during service as necessary. There will be no pass the peace and families are encouraged to sit together. I encourage and prefer all those that desire to attend to be vaccinated. We will ask questions and take temperatures. It will be our discretion whether to allow entrance based on your answers.
  3. If you have not been vaccinated, Purpose World will be a vaccination site on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. The time will be from 2:30 pm until 6:30 pm or until supplies are depleted. If you desire to be vaccinated, it will be on a first come, first-serve basis. The food pantry will also be open and in full operation as usual from 2:30 pm until 6:30 pm.
  4. Last thing, it has been brought to my attention by reliable resources that due to the rise in the delta variant of the virus, it is a strong possibility that the state will be shut down again within the next couple of weeks. I encourage you to stock up on water, toilet paper, sanitizers, etc. Of course if there is a shut down, reopening for in-face worship will be canceled and we will continue our online activities.

I pray and ask that you will be in prayer and especially be in prayer for your Pastor. This is not easy, however I have the faith and I put my trust in God to lead. Don’t give up on God and Purpose World. We are in this together and God will see us through. His purpose shall prevail. Please… please… and did I say please keep me in prayer. I need you and your prayers.

In His Service,
Pastor Jimmy
